Some et any:

On utilise some dans les phrases affirmatives:

Give me some milk, please.

I have some flowers in my garden.

On remplace some par any dans les phrases interrogatives et négatives:

Have you any sugar?

They haven't any children.

Some peut être utilisé dans les questions dont on pense que la réponse sera 'oui ' :

Will you have some tea?

Aren't there some plates in that cupboard?

Attention: on emploie some et any soit avec des indénombrables (par exemple=>'milk'), soit avec des dénombrables au pluriel ( par exemple=> flowers ou children ). On peut cependant se servir de some ou de any avec un dénombrable singulier. Dans ce cas, some signifie 'un certain ' et any 'n'importe quel '.

He's looking for some book he's lost.

I'll take any book.
