this infinitive isn't suitable! We then have to consider the details provided by the  

context... 

1. TRY+ Full Infinitive: to attempt to do, or accomplish. 

Indeed, TRY is one of these verbs followed by TO + infinitive. 

- I tried to understand what the man was saying, but he had a very strong accent...

2. TRY+ verb in - ing: to try, but    with the meaning od "experimenting". 

I'm not sure of the result, therefore, I experiment to see the result... 

- He has tried putting sugar in the tomato soup to see it if was less bitter... 

 After TRY in the infinitive or in the imperative forms, "and+ verb" is often used instead

of the infinitive form, especially in spoken English. 

- Try and answer as many questions as you can!
