    1. The other day I (be) driving my car round the curve very fast.
    2. I usually go to bed early but the night before I (stay) up late.
    3. I (be) supposed to get to my office at 7 a.m.
    4. The high ranking managers of our company (be) all expecting me.
    5. I was very late so I (choose) the mountain road which was the shortest but the most dangerous road.
    6. While I was driving, I saw a deer walking across the road so I (slam) on the brakes.
    7. Fortunately, I (manage) to stop my car, but skidded sideways and I drove into a tree.
    8. Ten minutes later, a police car (pull) up.
    9. The police officer (give) me a ticket for speeding round the curves.
    10. I (do) get to my office by 7 a.m. that day but I was glad I didn't hit the deer.
