You do something well, but you give someone something good.

GOOD - adjective	WELL - adverb
Before a noun / a pronoun	Next to a verb
*He is a good cook.* *What kind of cook?* *A good cook*	*He speaks French well.* *How does he speak French?* *He speaks well*.
	WELL - Sometimes as an adjective
With feeling verbs: *Your cake smells good!* *I feel good!*	Used to speak of one's health: How are you? Well! Thank you! *Oh!* *I don't feel well today!*
