    Britain is a monarchy. England a king or queen over a thousand years. One of the famous was Henry VIII, who king in 1506 and reigned 1547. He broke away from the Roman Catholic Church so that he divorce and marry again. Elizabeth II on the throne 1952 and is generally very popular. I think she has quite an unenviable job. She to meet a lot of people who she probably doesn't want to talk to, and keep smiling. Some people think she give up the throne because she for such a long time.
