    WHAT ?

    - to say what has been done -> the cake has been eaten by grandmother

    - to focus on the thing done  when the subjet is not important -> the cake has been put away

    HOW?

Grandmother has eaten the cake -> grandmother = subject

Has eaten = Verb phrase (Present Perfect Tense)

           The cake = Direct object

    a. the direct object is used as the subject of the passive sentence-> The cake....

    b. add the verb To be  in the same tense as the sentence of the active voice = has been -> the cake has been..

    c. Add the past participle of the main verb = to eat- ate - eaten  -> the cake has been eaten

    D. If it's necessary add the agent = By grandmother

-> the cake has been eaten by grandmother

Take care : the agent is  NOT USED when not important => people sometimes steal glasses => glasses are sometimes stolen.
