     Les noms et prénoms commencent par une majuscule

     

    Charles Spencer Chaplin is better known as Charlie Chaplin.

    on écrira aussi:               My dog is named Rusty and my cat Daisy.

     

     On utilise une majuscule pour les noms de villes, états, pays, continents, aires géographiques

         Charlie Chaplin was born in London, he spent many years in the United States of America,

         he died in Vevey, Switzerland  (Vevey)

         the Atlantic Ocean  /  the Sahara desert  /   Sacramento is the capital of the State of California

     

     On met une majuscule aux titres lorsqu'ils précèdent un nom ou que l'on s'adresse à la personne
