    on utilise cette préposition lorsque l'on veut dire où quelqu'un (ou quelque chose) est.

     on utilise on lorsqu' une personne ou un objet touche une surface ou

      on utilise in lorsqu' une personne ou un objet est à l'intérieur d'un volume, d'une aire clôturée ou qui a des limites

        the boy is between his twin sisters       a silhouette between palm trees

     

    UNDER

     en dessous de quelque chose ou recouvert par quelque chose
