    • Notez le 's' à la troisième personne du singulier du 'Present Simple'.
    • Le Present Simple s'emploie pour parler de:
    • ce qui est toujours vrai = les vérités générales
      • The sun rises in the east. ( Le soleil se lève à l'est ).
    • ce qui se fait habituellement :
      • He usually gets up early. ( D'ordinaire, il se lève tôt ).
    • ce qui est en général le cas:
      • In England they drive on the left. ( En Angleterre on conduit à gauche ).
    • un événement futur programmé (dans un horaire, etc.) :
      • My train leaves tomorrow at 12 a.m. ( Mon train part demain à midi.  )

    Le Présent Simple est aussi employé pour les verbes d'état :

    • Perceptions intellectuelles : believe, doubt, know, think, understand
    • Sentiments et émotions : like, love, need, prefer, want, wish
    • Perceptions : feel, hear, see, sound, smell, taste
    • Apparences : look, seem

     

     

     

     

    Test : Construire une question fermée (yes-no question) au au présent simple en respectant les consignes données. Aucune question ne commence par un mot interrogatif : ce sont des 'yes-no questions'. Contracter la forme négative.

    Ecrire toute la phrase.

     

    Exemple avec une question:
    (to play football) Sarah ?
    A trouver: Does Sarah play football?

     


    Exemple avec une réponse:
    (to start) school / September 1st

    A trouver: School starts on September 1st.
