Student Sprays Gas to Avoid Math Test

LISBON - A Portuguese school student is under police investigation for spraying toxic gas into a classroom to avoid taking a mathematics test, a police spokeswoman said Tuesday.
The test was canceled and the 16-year-old's teacher and six other pupils were taken to a hospital Monday, complaining of irritation, but were discharged shortly afterwards.
Local media said that the gas is restricted to the security forces and its unauthorized use can be punished by up to eight years in jail.
