    Simple Past tense

    Today-YesterdayAujourd'hui-hier

When we are doing something now (=right now !),

we use the correct form of the verb to be (I am, you are...) and add -ing to the action verb.

When we are talking about something done in the past

(yesterday, last week...), we usually add -ed to the regular verb.

Quand on est en train de faire quelque chose, on doit employer la forme appropriée du verbe

to be (I am, you are...) et ajouter -ing au verbe.

Quand on parle de quelque chose qui a déjà eu lieu (hier, la semaine passée) ,

on ajoute généralement -ed au verbe régulier.

Write the following expressions in the preterite.

Écris les verbes suivants au prétérit.
