    Present continuous tense
    Present Continuous Tense

This tense is used to talk about an action which is taking place right now.
    Consider,
I am reading a book. Do not disturb me.

The above example talks about the action of reading being performed by me right now and hence I do not want anyone to disturb me.

This tense can also be used to refer to what one has planned to do in the near future.
For  instance consider the sentence ,
I am leaving for Hyderabad tomorrow .
Here the tense used is present continuous tense but it talks about what one is planning to do in the near future.

This tense can also be used to talk about an action going on during this period of time but is not necessarily taking place now.
    For instance
I am reading a famous novel these days.

This tense can be formed with am/is/are plus the -ing form of the given verb.
     e.g.
