    Do   The meaning is rather general. It often expresses indefinite activities.

             We also use it to talk about jobs or leisure activities.

    Make  Its meaning is also rather general but it often expresses the idea of construction or creation.

                                                       -To make a cake...


    There are many exceptions to these rules.

    We must learn them by heart.

                                                       -To do good, to do a favour...,

                                                       -To make a decision, to make an exception...
