    Written comprehension: At the zoo

    AT   THE   ZOO

Last Sunday, Jennifer and her boyfriend Kevin were at the zoo. It was a lovely day and Jennifer was wearing her pretty purple hat. Kevin was very proud because everybody was looking at his girlfriend. Jennifer wanted to see the elephants but Kevin didn't. He doesn't like them. So, he decided to go and see the monkeys. A few minutes later, Jennifer was standing next to a huge elephant. It was twenty-five past four and the elephants were waiting for their food. They are usually fed at half past four. That's the reason why the elephant was tremendously hungry. And pink is its favourite colour! Suddenly, it ate Jennifer's hat. She was horrified! When Kevin came back, he was very surprised and furious.
