    generation X
    Message de agatine posté le 20-01-2008 à 15:05:03 (S | E | F)

In "Time" magazine, I read the expression "generation X". How can I translate into French? The subject is : Fatherhood 2.O.
the sentence is: " It's a slippery slope:parents rank their relationships with their kids as more important than their relationship with their spouse. Just as interesting, they rank their job dead last. That most masculine of traits - the ability to go out into the world and bring home a buck - is receding in importance for the men of GENERATION X"???? Does that mean new generation?
On the same subject: "it's not considered WIMPY or gay to hug your daughter",
can I translate WIMPY into MAUVIETTE?
    Thanks everybody for urgent help!

    Bonjour,
L'équivalent français est "Génération X" et le terme désigne une population d'occidentaux née dans les années 60 et 70.
Quant à "wimpy", mauviette est une traduction possible sinon "faiblard"?
