what's the appropriate tense ?

bonjour tous le monde , je voudrais trouver le temps des verbes de cette phrase. When I(to read) the ticket ,I(to drive) to the police station. moi j'ai pensé à sa: when i read(past simple)the ticket,i drove to the police station. car selon le sens de phrase , ça me parait correcte. aussi une autre personne m'a donné la phrase à: When i read the ticket , i was driving to the police station. merci de me répondre.

this is my proposition .
when I read the ticket,I drove to the police station.
that means when you found the ticket;you went directly to the police.
the second proposition.
when Ired the ticket, I was driving to the police...
this means that you were on your way to the police station when you read the ticket.
so ,now it is up to you!!

When I had read the ticket, I drove to the police station.
L'action d'aller au poste de police est passée ; la lecture a eu lieu avant.
When I have read the ticket, I will drive to the police station.
J'imagine une situation future : j'irai au poste de police quand j'aurai lu le papillon du P.-V.
When I (had) read the ticket, I would go to the police station.
Je fais une supposition : j'irais au poste de police quand j'aurais lu le papillon.
