    Conditional

If you were my pledge, i'd have made you my ...( bizutage étudiant)

If you'd been my plegde, i'd have made you my ...

    Hi,
It's quite common to mix conditionals both in Britain and in the States, but here the problem is the verb 'be'. I'm not sure what you mean by 'pledge' but here's another example for you.
'If he were dead I would inherit/would have inherited a lot of money.'
If we had used 'had been dead' here it would suggest that he had been dead but that now he wasn't!!
    Best Wishes

    Ok mais :

If you'd been my plegde, i'd have made you my ... This is right or not.
    It's a past conditional

But if it was a present situation it could be possible to say :
If you were my pledge (at this moment) i'd made you my....

The situation was in the past. Pledge = (proie, gage, promesse) Studient game in us.

    Thank you

If you were ... I would make ....
If you had been ... I would have made ....

If you were ... (then you would have been before as well, and) I would have made ....
