    Hello,
    I want would like to know the difference bettween Say and Tell.
    Please help me.

    Bonjour Myriam ,
    Say et tell ont tous les deux la significationd de "dire";cependant tell est normalement suivi d' un complément personnel .
    ex ; she says her name ( elle dit son nom) et she tells me her name ( elle me dit son nom). L'usage d' un complément personnel
    après say entraîne la présence de la préposition "to" :say hello to the woman . C'est principalement say qui est utilisé dans le
    discours direct, concernant le discours indirect les deux peuvent être employés( notons que tell s' emploie obligatoirement
    quand le complément personnel est suivipar to-infintif (she tells me to go away elle me dit de partir); Tell a aussi la signification
    de raconter( on peut trouver tell jokes raconter des blagues,to tell the truth dire la vérité). Bonne continuation .
