    Message de empereurkouranko posté le 24-10-2016 à 21:21:57 (S | E | F)
    Hello!
I have done a use of used the word "why" but, I wondered afterwards if it was correct: "WHY ARE YOUR EYES RED?".
Help me please for better understanding between that question and this one WHY YOUR EYES ARE RED?.
    Thank you for your answers.

    Hello
The second one is correct in indirect speech only.
Why are your eyes red ? Tell me why your eyes are red. I wonder why your eyes are red.

    gerondif,

The second sentence is not correct because of the punctuation. This sentence is a question "Why your eyes are red?" but when you say "Tell me why your eyes are red" it isn't a question, it's a declarative sentence, not a question. So, his second sentence is incorrect.

    Hello
Could you tell me why your eyes are red ? would be correct then with a question mark but again only in reported speech.
