    I don't know why "I would" is different from "I'd".I think they are the same but my friend says they aren't.Please,help me to distinguish them!!!!!!

    'I'd' is the contraction of 'I would'.

    Maybe your friend is talking about the pluperfect : I had gone, which is quite different.
    Here 'I'd' is the contraction of 'I had'.
