    Correction/to miss ever
    Message from kai88 posted on 17-09-2011 at 18:53:10 (D | E | F)
    Hello,

Is it correct to say :" This is the thing you don't want to miss ever." ?
I feel the 'ever' is a bit awkward.
    Any correction please?

    Thanks beforehand.

    Hello,
This is the thing you can't afford to miss
This is the thing you should never miss
    Etc.
    There are surely other ways

    Hello,

    It seems OK to me.
This is the thing you don't want to miss ever.
    =
This is the thing you never want to miss/you would never want to miss.

    Bonjour!

and...late as usual, here is my suggestion:

This is the thing (or: something) you don't want to ever miss ever.

Hello, I would say "...don't ever want to miss."

    See you.

    hello :
It is a negative sentence ,so you should use never not ever:
This is the thing you never want to miss.
    Thank you.

I don't agree with the above comment. It is a negative sentence but the "don't" (do not)already makes it negative.
"This is the thing you never want to miss" is grammatically correct though.
    Personally (as a ) I would say
"This is something that you don't ever want to miss".
