    Correction/sentences
    Message from marydsouza posted on 27-09-2011 at 06:47:31 (D | E | F)
    Hello,

    Could you help me please?

Would it be correct to say:
    1)Who told you I turned 30. I have just turned 26.
    2) I wish there was an unlike button on FB to unlike your comment.
    3) Both of you gave me a good surprise.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello

    1) Who told you I turned 30? I have just turned 26.
    2) I wish there was a unlike dislike button on FB. I really didn't like your comment.
    3) Both of you gave me a good surprise. Both of you really surprised me.

With #2, you can also use the subjunctive mood: "I wish there were"
With #3, it sounds as though you were given some sort of "gift". I think what you really mean is that they surprised you.

    Hello

"Unlike" would imply you wanted to erase or delete someone's "like" response. That could be useful on xxx!
"Dislike" would be to show that you didn't like something. A "Dislike" button could be useful too
You will have to decide which one you mean.

    Hello robily

1)Were you told that I turned 30?I have just turned 26. ...is grammatically right but you change the meaning of the sentence.

    Thank you very much ,Lucile83.
I got a "Chinglish" and I was quite hard to hurdle the fence.
Maybe the author was Chinese without a correct expression.
