    Singular subject/ verbs
    Message from ora1 posted on 26-12-2011 at 20:04:36 (D | E | F)
    Hello,

    Could you help me please?
A subject with more than one verb, do we need to make all of them into singular also?
    Such as...
He plays guitar and sing. Does a word "sing" behind and needed to be singular?
Thank you very much for your answers.

    Hello,

He plays guitar and sing. ...it's not correct because the verb sing needs 's' at the end : sings

He plays the guitar and sings:the subject 'he' can do both actions of playing and singing.
You also need to use 'the' before guitar, you play the guitar.
