    Hello,

    Could you please help me?

He thought there are many valuable things.
    Is the sentence right?
    Thank you for your answers.

    Hello,

He thought there are many valuable things. - Is the sentence right? No,the second verb(to be) should be in the preterite.(since your "are" seems to be in italics, I suppose it was the verb you had to put into the right tense. If not, see notrepere's answer)

    Hello

Or: He thinks there are many valuable things.

The choice depends on the context.

Hello! "He thought" is the main clause the verb of which is used in past tense. That is why,in your sentence, the verb "be" of the subordinate clause "(that) there were many valuable things." has to be in one of the past tense too. So, one must use the verb "were" here.
