    The way/meaning
    Message from webbery posted on 23-08-2012 at 10:51:18 (D | E | F)
    Hello,

it's hard to understand the following sentence:
Reviewers and booksellers looked down on self-published authors the way Anna Wintour scorns Dress Barn.
Could you tell me please the meaning of "the way"?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,

the way Anna Wintour scorns Dress Barn.
You can use the words: manner, method, mode, instead of way. It's the same meaning.
    see you.
Lucile, do you agree with that?
