    Which tense /help
    Message from mililia19 posted on 03-04-2013 at 21:23:37 (D | E | F)
    Hello

Please help me to find the difference :
    I had cooked
    I had been cooking

    I have written
    I have been writing

I know that it's about the present perfect, the present perfect continuous, the past perfect, the past perfect continuous.
But I cannot find the difference between those tenses.
Thanks in advance for helping me

    Hello,
I had cooked when he came home, so everything was ready and he was happy: He didn't have to shout at me !!

I had been cooking all evening when he arrived so I felt rather tired and didn't feel like chatting.

I have written to the insurance, they will take care of the problem.
I have been writing for two hours, I need a rest.

Can you feel the difference in meaning ?
