    Help/ informal mail
    Message from pds posted on 10-04-2013 at 07:52:42 (D | E | F)
    Hello

I would like to send an email to a group of people to inform that I am in their city and wanted to say hi …
Please, could someone help me putting it in a nice way…

I am planning to write something like
“Hey Guys,How are you doing ? I am in ** now .Just wanted to say hi to everyone..” ...but I feel it's very short and sounding rude.
    Please help.

    That would be quite acceptable.

Personally, I wouldn't use "Guys" unless everybody is male.
You have asked about their wellbeing which is polite.
It would be fine to send as it is, but I might say something like:

    Hi Everybody
    Hope you are well.
I have just arrived in ** (or "I will be coming to ** on Friday") and I'll be staying until Sunday. It would be great if we could catch up.
Please get back to me if you're going to be around.
