    To learn / learning
    Message from angrepa posted on 12-09-2013 at 01:42:18 (D | E | F)
    Hello!

in exercise 101203, sentence 5: Learning English is a priority in every life. I wrote "To learn..." .
IŽd like to know why I was wrong.
I thought that the to-inf. and the -ing form were interchangeable.
    Thank you for your reply

    Hello,
we use both gerunds and infinitives as the subjects of sentences. Both are acceptable but -ing is more common.
    Regards.

    Hello,

That sentence has been modified so that both Learning and To learn are now accepted.
