    Hello,

can someone explain if that sentence is grammatically correct ?
    It is:
"Anita has never come to visit me when I was ill."
I have made up some sentences to express the same meaning of the sentence which in my opinion sound more logical.
    1. Anita has never come to visit me when I am ill /present perfect + “ time” + present simple/
    2. Anita didn't come to visit me when I was ill./ simple past + simple past /
    3. Anita has never come to visit me when I have been ill. /present perfect + present perfect/.
    What do you think ?
    Thank you for your answers.
    Best regards.

    Hello,

"Anita has never come to visit me when I was ill." ...I modified that sentence and wrote:
Anita never came to visit me when I was ill
because 'when I was ill' looks like a date, so the past simple is needed.

    1. Anita has never come to visit me when I am ill ...am is incorrect
    2. Anita didn't come to visit me when I was ill...where is the adverb? but well, it is ok thanks to the past tense
    3. Anita has never come to visit me when I have been ill....both verbs are incorrect

    Hope this helps.
