    Message from aian posted on 04-06-2014 at 08:35:21 (D | E | F)
    Hello!
could you give me tips on how I could improve my pronunciation.
Even though I can speak English, my pronunciation is very bad.
    Thank you for any reply.

    Dear Aien,
As far as I know to improve your pronunciation, first you should learn how to read the individual words correctly. I mean whenever you see a new word you should consult an English dictionary to learn the correct pronunciation by looking at the phonetic symbols in front of the new word. But if you don't know how to read the phonetic symbol, you can use online dictionaries which pronounce the words.
Having learned the correct pronunciation of the words you should learn how to read the phrases (I mean the intonation or music of the sentence) and how to connect the words together. You can use simplified (short) stories with audio CD's.
There are a lot of good books about intonation and pronunciation.
I, for one, never learn a new word without knowing its pronunciation.
Speaking into a microphone and listening to your own voice is another method of checking if your pronunciation differs from that of the model(dictionary etc.).
