    Both / either
    Message from jenny90 posted on 22-10-2015 at 20:44:52 (D | E | F)
    Hello everyone .
I have a question about using both and either.
    A. Which dress do you want to buy, the yellow or the black one?
    B. They're ( both - either ) very nice.

I think it's "both" is the correct answer.
Which one is grammatically correct? and why?
Is it correct to use either instead of both in the previous sentence?
    Thank you for your help.

    Hello,

    A. Which dress do you want to buy, the yellow or the black one?
    B. They're ( both - either ) very nice.

    There are two possible answers:
    - they're both very nice
    - either of them is very nice

    ok, thanks

but if we have this sentence in the same order
    They're ( both - either ) very nice.
    what should I use??

    Hello,
If you have to respect the order of the words in the sentence you'll have to write:
    - they're both very nice
    You can't write
    - they're either very nice, it's not possible.
