    4. Last summer, Nina (wasn't able to / couldn't) play the guitar at all.
    Why is "wasn't able to" wrong?
    I thought that couldn't and wasn't able to were interchangeable.

    In your exemple couldn't means hadn't learnt to, didn't know how to whereas wasn't able to means that maybe she had a broken hand...
