    Superlatives

    I) How to use:
The superlative in English is used to indicate the highest degree of a characteristic among a group of people or things.

    II) How to build:

To form the superlative, we usually add -est to the adjective or use the adverb "most" followed by the adjective.

For example, we can say "Londonis the most beautiful city in France". Here, "most beautiful" is the superlative of "beautiful" which means "the most beautiful".

    III) Exceptions:

There are a few exceptions to this general rule.

➡️ For two-syllable adjectives that end in -y, we replace the -y with -iest.

    For example, "happy" becomes "happiest".

➡️ for two-syllable adjectives that end in -er, -le, or -ow, we simply add -est.
    For example, "clever" becomes "cleverest".

    ➡️
inally, for irregular adjectives, it is necessary to memorize them.

For example, "good" becomes "best" and "bad" becomes "worst".

    IV) Careful:

It is important to note that some adjectives cannot take a superlative because they describe qualities that cannot be hierarchically ranked. For example, we cannot say that a person is "the most unique".
