    1. The cuculus canorus or European cuckoo is a bird that is easily recognizable with its call : 'cuckoo-cuckoo.'

    2. This is a medium-sized bird with grayish , pointed wings, and a long tail.

    3. It has a bad reputation because we consider that bird a parasite.

    4. The cuckoo usually lays its eggs in the of other birds.

    5. The chooses nests where eggs are alike its own ones,

    6. because clever , it only puts one egg in each of them.

    7. The cuckoo egg earlier than the host's eggs.

    8. The grows faster

    9. and the other eggs out of the nest.

    10. It has a hearty appetite and it is often bigger than its parents.

    11. Then it to Africa to spend winter.

    12. So bad turns us away from the beauty of this bird.

    13. The cuckoo redeems itself with the adage which says :

    14. ' If you hear the first cuckoo of the year with money in the pocket, you will be all the year.'
