    Making survey questions


    There are only 4 main AUX (auxiliaries) in English:  DO, BE, HAVE, and modals like CAN.

    You need INVERSION (inversion of Subject and AUX) to make a question.

    Ex.  Charlie can drive.  -->  Can Charlie drive?

    There is one exception.  If the Wh-word is the subject of the question:

    Ex. Who laughed? What happened?
