    Active or passive voice


    Active voice to passive voice:   

    When a sentence is written in active voice, the subject of the sentence performs the action described in the sentence.

    Passive voice means that the subject of the sentence receives the action described in the sentence.

    Example: 

    My mother makes a cake (active voice). 

    A cake is made by my mother (passive voice)
