    Anna is very beautiful. Kate is very ugly, so Anna is (+ beautiful) than Kate, and Kate is (not = beautiful) as Anna. Poor Kate ! Anna is very intelligent. Kate is very stupid, so Anna is (- stupid) than Kate, and Kate is (- intelligent) than Anna. But Anna is very intelligent ! She is (+ intelligent) of her class. Kate is twenty years old, but Anna is eighteen, so Kate is (+ old) than Anna. But they are in the same class, and all the other pupils in the class are nineteen, so Kate is (+ old) pupil in the class, and Anna is (+ young). Kate is (+ tall) than Anna, so Anna is (not = tall) as Kate, of course, because Kate is not as young as her !
