it's not the good way to find friends. Check the listing on the first page and try to notice people's names near your search (double click on their name for reading their presentation). After you can send them a message or wait for their coming back connected here .
You can also search a correspondent writing him directly.

Could I just give a precision about the use of the verb 'search' ?
When you want to find something or someone, you search FOR that something or someone.
For example when you say
"The policemen are SEARCHING FOR a man." it means they are looking for him.
But if you say
"The policemen are SEARCHING a man." it means they have got him and try to find what he could be hiding from them.
