    You use :

    • either ... or to talk about a choice between 2 possibilities.
    • neither ... nor to join 2 negative ideas
    • both ... and to join 2 ideas
    • not only ...but also to add extra information <= formal
    • Ex :
    • She can see either the boss or the secretary.
    • We have neither a dog nor a cat.
    • Are you both a director and an actor ?
    • I am not only an actor but also a director.
    • He not only practises the piano but he also gives concerts.
