Body expressions

Hello everyboby ,
What do you think about creating a "glossary of body expressions" in order to put a little poetry in our way to speak English ?
A "body expression" is an expression using a part of the body.
example : to get something off my chest
for the topic ,you will have
1-The "body expression" -To get something off my chest
2-the meaning -To talk about it
I hope to see you very soon

to put one's foot in one's mouth = to accidently say something that is rude or embarrassing
I really put my foot in my mouth when, at a funeral, I told the deceased's widow that he must have loved her to death!

Hello rauzzy!
Back to the expression mentioned a few posts above: "the apple of my eye" (singular).
If you are the apple of my eye, I care enormously for you.This expression is found in the chorus of “You are the sunshine of my life” by Stevie Wonder ---> ... You are the apple of my eye, Forever you'll stay in my heart.
Less romantic now:
-- She is a pain in the neck! = She is a nuisance, very annoying
-- That dress cost me an arm and a leg = the cost was extremely high!
-- I kept a stiff upper lip = I suffered in silence & didn't show my emotion.

Don't worry euol,for sure someone will tell us the correct expression ,because here we have a heart to heart talk with each other.
To have a heart to heart talk with someone = to talk franckly ,honestly with someone without hiding the truth.

... --same sensation--!Yes euol, it is a matter of "pulling your leg"(not kicking)

Here's another one that we often use to describe a little girl's relationship with her father:
She always seemed to get what she wanted; she had her dad wrapped around her baby finger! lol

*the view of the island took my breath away:something wonderful.
*He was going to ask her but he got a cold feet and said nothing :to sudden become nervous about doing something that you had planed to do.
*My hair stand on end :to be shocked or frightened by somebody or something.
