the differences aren't only in the prononciation but in many words as underground(british english), subway(american english) or shop 'british) and store(american)
it's that we name the americanisms

ex: in english you have to write for "voisin" neighbour
and in american you have to write neighbor
You see what I mean? That's one of the differences between English and American English, how we have to write words but caution, it's not for all the words!
