    Vocabulary: complaining

Complaining! It's true that "complaining" efficiently requires cunning (or ability to negociate... ) and a little politeness. If you follow this theory, it's no use thundering, being vulgar or rude... Complaining would rather be a process in three different steps: first, you have to introduce the problem, then you have to express your feelings, and finally suggest a way to get a compensation for the problem you've encountered...

(Phrase the complaint as a request. State the problems in a polite way. Do not shout at the top of your lungs...)

To complain to sb about stg                               A complaint

To feel sorry for oneself To be full of self-pity
To grumble/ grouse about  Plaintive/ doleful

     To disapprove of stg

     To object to

     A deplorable state of affairs

     An appaling state of affairs
To demonstrate for/ against                                   A demonstration
     Intolerable  Disastrous
     Scandalous

     To deplore stg

it's quite unacceptable!  To manifest (False friend)

    - I'm sorry to bother you but...

    - Can you help me with this problem, please?

    - I'm afraid there must be a misunderstanding...

    - I understand it's not your fault...

    - Excuse me, I understand that...

    -  Excuse me, but you have to give me...

    - I want to complain about...

    - I'm afraid I've got a complaint about...

    - I have a complaint to make...

    - I'm afraid there's a problem with...

    - I've been patient long enough, but...

    - Enough is enough!

    - I won't take this...

Here we are! You have a lot of expressions here to help you...    Yet, I really don't see what you could complain about ... Therefore, try not to do it too much... If you just think carefully, I'm quite sure you won't complain while taking the test. There are no surprises in it. Go for it!
