    The order of adjectives

A.Adjectives of opinion come before adjectives of fact.

Examples: A nice (opinion) young (fact)girl.

A tasty (opinion) English (fact) cheese.

B.Adjectives of fact respect a certain order.

    1)size/length... 2)shape/ width... 3)age... 4)colour... 5)origin... 6)material.

Examples: A big green car (size comes before colour)

An old French woman (age comes before origin)

C.We say, "The last two hours" and not " The two last hours."

We say, " The next five weeks" and not "The five next weeks" etc.

INSTRUCTIONS: Put the adjectives in the correct order.
