    Past simple

    Welcome to this test on the past simple. It includes both regular and irregular verbs.
    The past simple is used to talk about actions or events that happened and were completed in the past.
    For example:
    * To eat - I ate.
    * To walk - he walked.
    Remember: regular verbs in the past simple are generally formed by adding -ed to the verb.
    For example:
    * walk + -ed = walked
    * cook + -ed = cooked
    Be careful: depending on the ending of the verb, the spelling may change slightly. For example, when a verb already ends in a silent e, only -d is added:
    * convene + -d = convened
    Irregular verbs do not follow this rule and must be learned individually.
    Good luck!
