                            ""like" (preposition). + a noun/pronoun
    Sonia looks like her sister.   
    My daughter has blond hair, like me.  

           
    Tom is a good cook, like his father.

                                   "as" (conjunction). + subordinate clause
    In Australia they drive on the left, as they do in England.

        Bob wants to become a lawyer, as his father is.  




    SUMMARY


    Sonia behaves like Suzan. (with a noun)

    Sonia behaves as Suzan does. (with a clause)



      




            AS:   other uses


                        "as" (conjunction) = "when" (+ subordinate clause) 

      I saw Betty as she was waiting for the bus.


     

                                "as" (conjunction) :  with a reason/a cause

       As I've missed the bus, I'll go by car.



                    "as" (préposition) : acting as

     He acts as a judge. 

    Compare with: He acts like a judge.
