    Be used to/get used to/used to


      to be used to + v-ing  means people have already got the habit of doing something.


    We  are both used to challenging each other on line for hours with our favourite game.

    He's not used to most of the software but he has a good  knowledge of English.


      to get used to + v-ing or noun  means that people are starting to have the habit of doing something.


    She's getting used to the extremely cold winter of Siberia. 

    I couldn't get used to sleeping well in my new flat with all the noise from cars on the road.


      Used to + infinitive means that people don't have the habit of doing something anymore.

    Six years ago there used to be a slaughterhouse here, but now there is just a school. 

    When I was a child, I used to go into abandoned houses with my friends. 

     

     Mind  the interrogative and negative forms:

    Did he use  to go swimming?

    He did not use to go swimming.

     not : did he used / he did not used
