Understanding an email
You've been asking for a computer and an Internet connection for ages and you're finally getting one for your birthday next week !
Here are some facts and tips that will be useful .
When you plug in your brand-new computer, you will be like half of the American teenagers.What are you going to do ? Games and chats ?
They're the kids'favourite when they surf. Will you meet lots of new friends thanks to your electronic mail ? Let's hope so, but you're going to be surprised by some e-mailers expressions.
Some will say wasup ? instead of what's up ? If they don't understand you, they'll say wut ? instead of what ? or dunno for I don't know .
If something if funny, they'll write lol for laugh out loud, and when it's time to say goodbye, the message will certainly be g2g for I've got to go and luv for love.
Like most teenagers, you will probably love, this new mediun because it is easy, fast, cheap and it will give you a lot of freedom because most parents are not very good at new technologies : they're carbon dated say the kids on the Web !
