Conditional sentences:
Examples
IF it rains (simple present tense), we WILL stay at home and watch TV.
IF it doesn't rain, we WILL go fishing.
IF you heat a metal, it expands (it WILL expand) (scientifically proved theories)
We WILL go shopping if the weather is nice. (Note : no comma is used)
(Note:simple present tense is used with the IF sentence, but we are talking about future)
IF he had a cellphone, he WOULD phone us. (Meaning: he does not have a cellphone)
IF she HAD seen you, she WOULD HAVE said hello. (Meaning: she did not see you)
IF I WERE you, I WOULD try talking to him in person. (Meaning: I am not you)
