    Understanding - At the airport

    Problem at the airport

I was at the airport with my best friend and his wife. I was taking tickets for the flight to Paris when, suddenly, I heard a voice coming from the loudspeakers :

"Flight 376 to Paris is cancelled due to weather problems. Thank you for your understanding."

It was incomprehensible! An hour ago, the weather was nice. I went to my best friend and he told me in a deep voice :

"Sorry, man, but someone stole your suitcase."

"What bad news!" I said. "But, tell me, how do you know?"

"A strange man came past me, hit me and ran away with your suitcase."

So I wanted to call security, but the reception staff told me that the police were already busy. I also wanted to be reimbursed, but the receptionist told me that it was impossible.

I was horrified. Finally, my friends and I went to a hotel near the airport to wait for new tickets that we could buy later. It was one of the worst days in my life.
