    The carnivals in Rio de Janeiro, New Orleans and the Caribbean ilands are fameus all over the world for their brillant parades of dancers in costumes and exciting music.
    For countris like Brazil and the islands of the Caribbean the wether is warm in January and February. When people from the Caribbean came to life in Britain in the 1950s they found that Carnival occured in the coldest part of the British winter.
    In 1961 they decided to bring bak their festival and held the first Notting Hill Carnival at the end of August.
    It was a gret sucess, and it is now held every year. The Notting Hill Carnival is now one of London ' s most exciting festivals.
